Turn off Google FRP lock
realme's support says it cannot locate phones itself and points owners to Google's Find My Device, now called Find Hub. With Google's Factory Reset Protection (FRP), a phone wiped with your Google account still on it can ask the next owner for your password.

In Settings, open the accounts section (search for Accounts if you cannot find it), tap your Google account and choose Remove account. Repeat for every Google account.

Sign out of your realme account too, if you added one.

On realme UI 6.0, reset from
Settings > System & updates > Back up and reset > Reset Phone > Erase all data. On realme UI 3.0 to 5.0, Back up and reset is under System or Additional Settings. - 04
On realme UI Go, R, S, T and U editions, use
Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data.

Find the IMEI
- Dial

Settings > About Phone > Status(About Device on some versions) and note IMEI1, plus IMEI2 on dual-SIM phones. - Check the label on the original box.
Check that it is valid with the free IMEI checker.

Get it ready to sell
- Back up with Google (
Settings > Google > All services > Backup) and keep your photos in Google Photos or on a computer. - Moving to a new realme, OPPO or OnePlus phone? Open
Tools > Clone Phoneon both phones to copy your data across. - Clone Phone is not available on realme UI Go, R, S, T and U editions, so use Google backup on those phones.
- If the phone was bought on EMI through a finance company, clear the loan or check with the lender first.
- Remove your Google account and sign out of your realme account.
- Take out the SIM cards and any memory card, then reset from Settings.

What moves the price
- Bring the original charger and cable. realme fast charging needs a compatible charger to reach full speed, and a buyer may test it.
- RAM and storage follow the version on the box. Dynamic or virtual RAM, which borrows from storage, does not count.
- A buyer checks the screen, charging port and speakers closely, so clean the port and look for dead pixels before you go.
- On AMOLED models, the screen is checked for burn-in and lines.
- The box with a matching IMEI label and the bill both help.

Does realme have its own phone lock?
realme's support says it cannot locate phones and points owners to Google's Find My Device, now called Find Hub. So the lock to remove is your Google account. Sign out of your realme account too, if you added one.
My realme asks for a Google account after reset. What now?
That is Factory Reset Protection. Sign in with the Google account that was on the phone, or with your old screen lock if the phone offers that option. If you forgot the password, recover the account through Google first.
Where is Clone Phone on my realme?
On realme UI 1.0 and later, it is under Tools > Clone Phone. It is not available on the realme UI Go, R, S, T and U editions; use Google backup on those phones.
