Turn off Google FRP lock
Infinix phones rely on Google's Factory Reset Protection (FRP). A phone wiped with your Google account still on it can ask the next owner for your password.

Open the accounts section in Settings (search for Accounts if you cannot find it), tap your Google account and choose Remove account. Repeat for each Google account.

Reset from Settings, not recovery mode. The path is usually
Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset); some XOS versions name it slightly differently. - 03
Enter your screen lock when asked to confirm the reset.

If the phone has already left your hands, sign it out from your Google Account's
Security > Your devicespage.

Find the IMEI
- Dial
*#06#in the Phone app. - Open
Settings > About phone. On older XOS versions, About phone sits under More settings. - Check the label on the original box.
Check that it is valid with the free IMEI checker.

Get it ready to sell
- Back up with Google:
Settings > Google > All services > Backup, and keep your photos in Google Photos or on a computer. - Moving to a new Android phone? Use Copy apps and data during its setup before you reset this one.
- Back up WhatsApp chats from inside WhatsApp.
- If the phone was bought on EMI through a finance company, clear the loan or check with the lender first.
- Remove your Google account, take out the SIM cards and any memory card, then reset from Settings.

What moves the price
- RAM and storage follow the version on the box. Extended RAM, which borrows from storage, does not count as real RAM.
- A buyer tests the charging port, speakers, cameras and fingerprint sensor, and looks at the screen on a white background.
- Bring the original charger, especially if your model came with a fast charger.
- On the Zero Flip, the hinge, the crease and the cover screen are checked closely.
- The box with a matching IMEI label and the bill both help, as does any warranty left.
