Dealer to dealerShop handbook

Dealer market: sell stock to other dealers in lots

Bundle phones from your stock into a lot, set one price and list it to other Recashy dealers. You choose which request to accept, or pull the lot back.

In short

  • Bundle phones from your stock into a lot and set one price for all of it.
  • Other Recashy dealers send requests, and you decide who gets it.
  • Accepting moves the phones to the buyer's stock, and until then you can pull the lot back.

01Bundle stock into a lot

  1. 01

    Open Stock

Your stock list shows every phone you hold, what you paid for it and how many days it has been in stock. Sort by Oldest to see what has been sitting longest.

  2. 02

    Tick the phones

Tick the handsets you want to move. A bar shows how many you picked and what you paid for them.

  3. 03

    Create the lot

Give it a name if you like, such as Redmi Note series, 12 phones, and tap Create lot. Leave the name blank and the lot is named by its size.

A lot can hold up to 200 phones. Only phones in your stock that are not already in another lot can go in.

02Set one price for the whole lot

The asking price starts at your cost, which is what you paid for the phones in the lot. Add your margin by typing a new figure, or with the +5%, +10%, +15% and +20% buttons. As you change it, you see how far over or under cost you are, in rupees and as a percentage.

Add a note for buyers if it helps, such as All boxed, bills available. Then tap List to dealers.

03Requests come in, you decide

Dealers browse listed lots under Market. A dealer who wants yours taps Ask for this lot, can add a message, for example when they can collect, and sends the request.

When a request comes in, Today tells you, and the request waits under Sell to dealers. On a phone, you can also reach it from Your lots on the Stock page. Nothing moves until you act.

When youWhat happens
Accept a requestThe lot is sold to that dealer. The phones leave your stock and appear in theirs. Other requests for the lot are declined.
Decline a requestThat dealer is turned down, and the lot stays listed for others.
Pull the lot backThe lot comes off the market, its phones go back into your stock, and open requests are cancelled.

04While a lot is listed

Phones in a listed lot are held out of your stock until the lot sells or you pull it back, so the same phone cannot end up in two deals. You can pull a lot back at any time before you accept a request, with Pull this lot back on the lot's page.

05Money and records

Recashy does not move money between dealers. You settle payment with the buyer directly, the way you do today.

The purchase records stay with the shop that bought the phones from the public, which is where they belong. The buying dealer receives each phone in their stock with its IMEI, model and condition, and with an equal share of the lot price as its cost.
